All the following is hypothetical. If you take it seriously, you're a dope. Still, it'd be interesting to see how various people would react to these scenarios. Go ahead and post your reactions below, but keep it short and don't discuss too much.

Scenario 1

Nintendo approaches SmashWiki with an offer to endorse us as the official Smash Bros. wiki, but only on the condition that we permanently delete everything relating to competitive play and the competitive scene (smasher pages, tournament pages, tier list/matchup info, etc) as well as information on hacking. Decline, the competitive scene of Smash is too important to ignore, and hacking is one of the biggest things in Brawl. We would lose a massive amount of helpful information (saying Snake can hold and throw a grenade by pressing B doesn't really help anyone unlike explaining applications of the move and advance techs involving it), and it compromises our integrity to present Ganondorf as an equivalent character to Snake in Brawl or Kirby as an equivalent character to Jigglypuff in Melee. Plus I would say having our content compromised by an outside higher up group that isn't a part of the community is similar to Wikia compromising our ability to manage our Wiki (and we all know how much we hated that), but it's even worse here since it's actually impacting our content. For benefit, we would get much more activity and attention, but would that do any real good when our content will be so compromised and all around terrible (with it being even worse than SmashWikia), have an outside higher up dictating our content, and we would be alienating the best potential content contributors (competitive players and those who hacked the game)? Scenario 2

This is simple, we already discourage using acronyms in mainspace articles to refer to a Smash game instead of the subtitle (with the exception of the first Smash Bros. with SSB64), and we could easily fix the title of the character articles that use the acronym.
