Hello guys, I wanted to create a guide on Jigglypuff in smash ultimate, which was inspired by Scr7's guide on Pikachu from smash bros brawl, in this page we will see her streinghts, weaknesses, her stats, her moveset, her frame data, and how good each move is, i wanted to do this project for a very long time, but for now, let's get started.

Streinghts[edit]

  • She has some of the best air mobility.
  • She has 5 aerial jumps and is among one of the floatiest characters in the game, which gives her:
    • Fantastic edgeguarding.
    • Great recovery.
  • Her moves have relatevly low startup.
  • She is really hard to combo.
  • Has great combo potential, including an amazing combo finisher.

Weaknesses[edit]

  • She has some of the worst ground mobility.
  • She is really easy to kill.
  • Her moves have relatevly high endlag.
  • She has very short reach on most of her moves.
  • She has an unspectacular grab game.
  • Probably has the worst airdodge in the game.
  • She dies instantly after getting her shield broken.
  • Can sometimes have trouble at closing out stocks.

  • Weight: 68 (2nd lowest)

Ground[edit]

  • Walk: 0.735 (3rd lowest)
  • Run: 1.271 (3rd lowest)
  • Initial Dash: 1.65 (4th lowest)
  • Traction: 0.087 (14th lowest)

Air and Jumps[edit]

  • Full hop: 19.79 (3rd lowest)
  • Short hop: 11.26 (3rd lowest)
  • Air speed: 1.332 (2nd highest)
  • Air acceleration: 0.13 (Higest)
  • Air friction: 0.0375 (3rd highest)
  • Fall speed: 0.98 (Lowest)
  • Fast fall speed: 1.568 (Lowest)
  • Gravity: 0.053 (Lowest)

Moveset[edit]

How the qualità of moves is calculated:

  • +4: this is Jigglypuff's best move in her entire moveset.
  • +3: this move is amazing.
  • +2: this move is very good.
  • +1: this move is decent.
  • ±0: this move is not bad but not that good either.
  • -1: this move is pretty bad but it could be a lot worse.
  • -2: this move is bad.
  • -3: this move is abysmal.
  • -4: this move is complete trash and should never be used.

Ground Moves[edit]

  • Frame data: both hits have the same frame data.
    • Startup: frame 5
    • Active frames: frames 5-6
    • Total duration: 16 frames
    • Shield lag: 6 frames (first hit) 9 frames (second hit)
    • Shield stun: 4 frames
    • Saftey on shield: -7
  • Uses: Minor combo potential, Shield pressuring.
  • Utility: +1

This move is pretty good for shield pressuring and it combos into dash attack, but it dosen't do that much more, it's still decent.

  • Frame Data:
    • Startup: Frame 7
    • Active frames: frames 7-10
    • Total duration: 24 frames
    • Shield lag: 8 frames
    • Shield stun: 10 frames
    • Saftey on shield: -7


  • Uses: Poke, Shield pressure.
  • Utility: -1

It is pretty niche as a poking tool and his range is too small for me to consider it a good move.


  • Frame data:
    • Startup: Frame 9
    • Active frames: Frames 9-10 (11-13 for sourspot)
    • Total duration: 24 frames
    • Shield lag: 7 frames
    • Shield stun: 9 frames (8 frames for sourspot)
    • Saftey on shield: -6


  • Uses: Comboing, Killing at high %
  • Utility: +2

Up tilt is a great combo tool at lower % leading into basicly all of her aerials, and it is just barley weaker than her up smash, making it good for killing at high %.


  • Frame data:
    • Startup: frame 10
    • Active frames: frames 10-12
    • Total duration: 30 frames
    • Shield lag: 8 frames
    • Shield stun: 10 frames
    • Saftey on shield: -10


  • Uses: Poking, setting up for edgeguards, killing at very high %.
  • Utility: -3

This move is very bad, it is a niche move, and down tilts are supposed to not be niche, it's tiny, slow, low reward compared to these difficult to land down tilts, it's in my opinion the worst down tilt in the game.
