Hitstun 3 was a major Smash 64 only tournament held in Texas. There were 50 entrants including a large assortment of out-of-state players including players from California, Canada, and MD/VA. It was setup to see originally how Texas players stacked up against the rest of the United States and to make a proper power rankings. The tournament was streamed by Tourney Locator, a local Texas stream, and Darkhorse, from MD/VA.
