From SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki
Beak Bonk is a tournament series initially held in Pullman, Washington, but has since moved to the neighboring city of Moscow, Idaho. Both cities are college towns, homes of Washington State University and University of Idaho respectively, and are both considered part of the Palouse. The series is organized by Palouse Gaming, and is consistently one of the largest tournaments in the region. The series began in 2019, but was put on indefinite hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The series returned in 2022, and has been an annual tournament ever since. While initially focused on the Super Smash Bros. series, the organizers have since branched out to other games like Street Fighter, Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Guilty Gear: Strive, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, Rivals of Aether, and even non-fighting games like Fall Guys and Chess.
