Meta Ridley is a completely separate boss from Ridley. The two articles should remain separated. WaluigiIsAwesome 17:12, February 13, 2008 (EST)

I agree Seperate! ~Crystal_Lucario 17:40, February 13, 2008 (EST)

Merge we don't need a one or two sentence article. i mean, i understand separate articles for say, a Metroid Wiki. but this is for Smash Bros and we can group them together. FyreNWater - (TalkContributions ) 19:21, February 13, 2008 (EST)

-_- Dude, they are the same boss, just fought at two different times. Just because he may look slightly different the second time due to the lighting doesn't mean he's been "rebuilt" as Meta Ridley in such a short time. I say Merge. Having an article for a boss that doesn't really exist is just useless, if you ask me. Teamrocketspy621 20:26, February 13, 2008 (EST)

Merge They are basically the same boss, I dont know if they have a major difference while fighting them, but still, they are the same SSE Boss "Ridley", an article with just a mention of the Boss and noting the difference (if any) between the both versions of ridley.--Fandangox 23:32, February 13, 2008 (EST)
Meta Ridley and Ridley have different names and attack patterns. I agree they should be on the same page but they aren't the 'same SSE Boss "Ridley"' as one clearly says "Meta" in front in Japanese Webrunner 14:41, February 14, 2008 (EST)

Seperate Because He is A Harder Boss To Get to (Krystal Mccloud 00:52, February 17, 2008 (EST))

Seperate Ridley and Meta Ridley are diffrent characters. They fight diffretn, use diffrent attacks, and come at diffrent situations. I've seen all the boss fights, and they are as alike as Giga Bowser and Master Hand. As someone who's actually SEEN ALL the boss fights (thanks to youtube), I can honestly say they are diffrent. We don't have Crazy Hand and Master Hand in the same article because they look alike, or Dr. Mario and Mario because they look alike, do we? So why should we start now=??? You fight every boss twice in the end of the Subspace Emissary, and you fight Ridley and Meta Ridley BOTH AGAIN! If we merge the two, we might as well merge Rayquaza with them, because they all have wings, and are dragon-like.

You fight Ridley in a giant room in a area like area where Samus gets her Power Suit. You fight Meta Ridley on Captain Falcon's ship that you are on in the begining of Big Blue, and Meta Ridley slams on it, and flys around it. They are very diffrent characters, and bosses. I bet they each have their own trophy, too. They are diffrent characters, and diffrent bosses, and that is a fact. Anyone who says otherwise hasn't seen each full boss fight, or probably even part of it. -Johnknight1 23:52, February 22, 2008 (EST)

I havent spoiled any video, but I though they would share some moves, still I think they should be merged as both articles are pretty small so it would be better to create a Ridley general article and a Ridle (boss) article were we mention his appareances in SEE.--Fandangox 00:13, February 23, 2008 (EST)

They're the same character in that they're both Ridley. Same with ZSS and Samus are the same character even if they're entirely different in the way they move and act. They are different bosses though. Webrunner 17:56, February 23, 2008 (EST)

ZSS have her own article becuase she have a separated profile in the DOJO, really, even though if Ridley and Meta Ridley have different attacks doesnt mean that they should be separated, we are merging all articles of cameos characters to avoid having a lot of useless articles when we can easily have that have all the information we need, an example: we merged the Wolfen trophy article with the wolfen's general article, so we could just have a ridley general article that covers his cameo in Smash Bros, his appareance in the Melee intro movie, his trophy and his SSE Role in Brawl.--Fandangox 03:24, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

Someone should probably add what stage of Adventure Mode you find Meta-Ridley on, as well as the other bosses. Just a thought, since it could be helpfull to many people. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.3.251.160 (talkcontribs) 05:22, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Personally, i agree with Fandangox, i think there should be a ridley article covering all of his cameos(merge)22:25, 30 April 2008 (UTC)22:25, 30 April 2008 (UTC)22:25, 30 April 2008 (UTC)22:25, 30 April 2008 (UTC)22:25, 30 April 2008 (UTC).--FireMetaKnight101

seperate[edit]

every boss has his own page so why can´t meta ridley have it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Luc89 (talkcontribs) 12:05, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

They should stay seperate because they ARE seperate. They both have different attacks, reqire sifferent strategies to beat, have different areas that need unique adaptations, and have different battle conditions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wavelucas (talkcontribs) 21:49, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Seperate, They are different bosses, with some different attacks, and are different enemies (technically). Kperfekt722 (talk) 03:54, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Many people comparing this to samus/z.s.samus.It's not. it's much more like mario/dr.mario. Ridley never "Transforms" into meta ridley. they just happen to have similar 1)names 2)phisical atributes-seperate.

FYI, the discussion appears to have been closed as of some time ago.–Entrea Sumatae 22:31, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

Capturing Meta Ridley's Trophy is EXTREMELY hard, maybe even harder than Tabuu.(96.255.200.35 14:41, May 22, 2010 (UTC))

I agree, but the wiki is no place for strategies.--Megatron1 (talk) 14:42, May 22, 2010 (UTC)

Meta Ridley in Smash 4[edit]

I've failed to encounter Meta Ridley in Smash 4, I think. Whenever Meta Ridley flies underneath the platform and absorbs the energy, his skin turns slightly dark but that's not what Meta Ridley looks like. Is this what Meta Ridley looks like in this game (angry face) or have I just failed to encounter him yet? ---Preceding unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe Nutta. 22:37, 28 November 2014 (EST)

After playing an infinite match and encountering Ridley seven times (four of which he fled and three of which I killed him) he never turned into anything besides the monochrome/purple glowing version of himself. Either Meta Ridley wasn't actually included, or that's all they came up with. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe Nutta. 23:29, 28 November 2014 (EST)
Yeah the 50-fact thing used the name "Meta Ridley", but I don't think it counts. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Incomperable 23:46, 28 November 2014 (EST)
Does he have a trophy in the game? If he does, that could show us if it is him or not. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe Nutta. 14:44, 29 November 2014 (EST)

In Smash 4?[edit]

As I mentioned above, Meta Ridley in Smash 4 really doesn't resemble Meta Ridley at all. He also does not have a trophy, whereas every other major character does, so I think that it was either a mistranslation or some other beta element. Either way, since he doesn't battle like Meta Ridley and doesn't look like Meta Ridley, should we really count him as Meta Ridley? ---Preceding unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe Nutta. 22:42, 23 May 2015 (EDT)

Given that 50-fact Direct refers to him as such rather vehemently, and he has a separate set of attacks and an altered appearance, I think we'd be remiss if we didn't state it. Miles (talk) 23:20, 23 May 2015 (EDT)
