King Dedede non-smash bio needs to be expanded[edit]

King Dedede's non-smash bio...is basically non-existent. I added what I could, but it's nowhere near enough. Anyone with better information on the series, please, help improve this article. Johnknight1 12:58, October 25, 2007 (EDT)

I'll do my best to come up with a character description. Teamrocketspy621 13:52, October 27, 2007 (EDT)
Great job Teamrocketspy! You fixed nearly all of it. Maybe a bit left to cover, but we got most of it down! =D User:Johnknight1|Johnknight1 20:48, October 29, 2007 (EDT)
No problem -- I like doing this sort of thing. I do a lot of writing myself, and so fixing up bad writing or adding to lacking areas is one of my strong points. Oh, and I added a few more things to the article. Mind giving me a score out of 5? XD Teamrocketspy621 20:12, October 31, 2007 (EDT)

Translate[edit]

What does http://www.nintendo.co.jp/n01/n64/software/nus_p_nalj/smash/PostResult2.html this page mean?--Aipom--

It was a poll taken in Japan a while before Melee was released, about which characters people wanted to see in Melee. Sakurai did the same thing with Brawl. Basically, King Dedede's high on the list, higher than even some characters who were playable. It's no wonder he's playable in Brawl. Teamrocketspy621 15:42, November 3, 2007 (EDT)

No link to smash startegies[edit]

Is there a link to a smash(how to play with him against x character) bio? If not, I can start one.--CyberDarkEdge 13:17, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Long e (ay) sound?[edit]

Why does the romanisation of Dedede's name contradict the kana? デデデ大王 would be short 'e' sounds, not long (which would be デーデーデー大王). Which is it? I was always under the impression it was the short one, giving the impression it's stuttered ie. D-D-D-Daioh. Anyone? SaviourSeph (talk) 21:53, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

I looked it up, and from what I've seen, you seem to be right. I'm not sure how that got messed up but I fixed it.-- Bman87301 (talk) 14:01, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
K :) (I was going to myself, but thought I'd better confirm it due to the "DON'T EDIT THIS" comment in the markup).SaviourSeph (talk) 20:05, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I added that warning in response to someone who kept changing it, mistakenly thinking that it was supposed to be a phonetic pronunciation in English. Sorry about the confusion.--Bman87301 (talk) 20:19, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

That picture only exists on your computer, we can't ever see it unless you upload it - and you have to have an account for that, I think. What are you getting at? Toomai Glittershine Toomai.png The Table Designer 23:45, June 4, 2010 (UTC)

'Only antagonist to appear in every game'[edit]

The green koopa troopa is a background character in SSB, and appears in Melee's Adventure Mode, The Subspace Emissary in Brawl, and SSB4's Smash Run. He is an antagonist, so should this be mentioned? 121.127.212.89 03:55, 12 May 2015 (EDT)

I wouldn't count the Koopa Troopa as a true antagonist. An antagonist is someone who goes against the protagonist; the Koopas just serve as obsticles in Mario's path. Changing the head icon used. No biggie.Aidan, Master of Speed and AuraPer Request, for User:Aidanzapunk. 06:47, 12 May 2015 (EDT)

Clone?[edit]

Would Kind Dedede be considered a clone or semi-clone of Kirby? I have a reason to prove this They use the same move (Inhale), use a similar mechanic with their hammers (Hammer Flip and Jet Hammer, respectively) and a similar up-special (Final Cutter and Super Dedede Jump) User:RatedMforMario. Let's-a-go!~ 18:38, 2 April 2018 (EDT)

No, the only move that's even somewhat comparable is Inhale. Aside from that, they are completely different characters, with drastically different movesets and attributes. Alex the Jigglypuff trainer 18:40, 2 April 2018 (EDT)
