Are they ever called "False Characters" by the game? Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 01:59, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Well, the game doesn't have a name for them. It's kind of like what they do at the POTC Wiki. Unfortunately, we don't recall any official name for these "False" Characters. MarioGalaxy {talk} 02:01, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

You're right MG. That is why there should be a template called the conjecture template. I'm going by what the movie titles say (false zelda, false peach). --Blue Ninjakoopa (talk) 02:03, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Oh, wait, the titles said that? I know what you're talking about the movies, I just didn't recall seeing the word "False" in the title. MarioGalaxy {talk} 02:06, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Yes. Didn't you beat the emissary? --Blue Ninjakoopa (talk) 02:08, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Yes, I did. I just don't watch the scenes after I beat it that often. I may see some that seem humorous (like when Luigi appears) , but I haven't seen them in a while. MarioGalaxy {talk} 02:10, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Can you give me a specific scene so I can verify this? It's not that I don't believe you, it's just always good practice to get a second party involved. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 05:11, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

I know it's true, but I don't really remember any of the actual names. I think the part where the false princess (Zelda or Peach) tries to shoot the other's hero (Mario and Link, respectively) gives the name "false ???" Cheezperson (talk) 05:27, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

This was copied directly from Super Mario Wiki, wasn't it? - BattleFranky202 (talk) 20:48, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

This info was not taken from anywhere[edit]

Even if it was, it would be rewritten a bit. Mario Wiki is full of typos and childish grammar mistakes. Plus, THIS IS SMASH WIKIIIIIII!!!!! Blue Ninjakoopa Talk to me 20:53, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

This page should be deleted because it doesn't deserve its own page with information thats unvertified. Are they called False Characters, is the information releavant enough? Zmario (talk) 22:24, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

I made this article :'( Blue Ninjakoopa 22:26, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Yes. The page should definately stay. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 08:05, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Relevance of Mr. Game & Watch[edit]

Is the information about the appearance of false G&W really relevant enough to include here? Because the same info is already included on the G&W article. I'd say it's trivia information at best. Ederek-Cole (talk) 21:05, July 27, 2010 (UTC)

I still think it belongs here too. Doctor Pain 99 (CTE) Dp99.png 21:31, July 27, 2010 (UTC)

Are these dark characters playable by hacking? Does every character have a shadowy texture?

You can use texture hacks that of false characters. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 19:35, 25 September 2011 (EDT)
Yes thats what i like to use for making a fake/false bad character that which was based on the game when they were copied by the shadow bugs.--BrandondorfLemsdadhead.png 00:10, 26 September 2011 (EDT)
And as a thing. I tried using wiiscruber and it did work with one of my files but did not use the purple vertex color on those guys such as the files FitDiddy00.pac and FitDiddy00.pcs but the fake one has the purple vertex color. I got this screenshot right here:

Puppet fighters[edit]

Would it be alright to have "Puppet fighter" redirect to the main article? I'm asking considering the main article says false characters and puppet fighters are generally the same. Laniv (talk) 23:35, August 19, 2019 (EDT)
