Talk:Dark Samus

From SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki

Weak Delete/Neutral I'll assume Dark Samus appears as a sticker or trophy due to her importance in the Metroid Prime games. However, with no sources or info, it seems irrelevant to the Smash Universe. Needs a source and some additional info. FyreNWater - (TalkContributions ) 21:56, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Now, wasn't that easy? FyreNWater - (TalkContributions ) 07:58, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
Since Dark Samus is an Assist Trophy in the new Smash Bros., maybe now this should be deleted, or at least redirected to the Dark Samus page? - BrawlMatt202 (talk) 13:18, 10 April 2014 (EDT)

Dark Samus?[edit]

Should it be mentioned that a 'Shadow Samus' is in that one Co-Op event? I know it's not the 'real' Dark Samus, but it was obviously intended to be her.--1upD 00:34, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Anyone else think her appearance has perhaps been altered to look Other M-ish? Her shoulderpads seem bigger to me. RoyboyX Talk 20:21, 13 May 2014 (EDT)

Samus does have a black palette swap in SSBU, but it has yellow instead of blue. Is that how Dark Samus looks in the most recent Metroid games? I wouldn't know. I personally think there might be a Dark Samus Echo fighter, but what do I know? Should any of this be mentioned at all, or is this just me being stupid? 21:09, 28 July 2018 (EDT)Blueflame105

The costume probably can? We still mention Pit's "Dark Pit" art even though it's more purple than black now. We definitely shouldn't mention any speculation on her being playable or not, though TheNuttyOne 21:57, 28 July 2018 (EDT)
That was intended to be speculation only, and not something I thought should be on the page. Apologies if that was not clear. So should I add a section for Ultimate and mention the palette swap, or not? I still have a very skewed knowledge of the wiki. 17:21, 29 July 2018 (EDT)Blueflame105
If no one sees any objection, I'll just make a section for Ultimate and mention the palette swap. I'll wait until tomorrow though, so if there is an issue, it can be mentioned before I make that edit. 21:00, 30 July 2018 (EDT)Blueflame105

The update for Dark Samus on the official Smash Website uses "it" pronouns instead of "she" pronouns. Should we update as well, in order to match? -- 00:47, 18 August 2018 (EDT)

Since this article reflects Dark Samus in the Metroid series and in previous Smash games (all of which referred to her with female pronouns), then I say that we should stick with female pronouns for this page, regardless of what Ultimate says. Besides, we should probably wait until Ultimate is actually released before declaring its stance on Dark Samus's gender; the blog post might not reflect the final game. --PeabodySam (talk) 23:43, 18 August 2018 (EDT)
