Ben Gold, formerly known as Mr. L, is an Australian Super Smash Bros. Ultimate player. He is best known for being one of the first King K. Rool players in the early metagame to find success at a superregional level, as a result of winning Battle Arena Melbourne 11, the second-largest Ultimate tournament in Australia as well as the largest tournament won by a King K. Rool player. During this time, he also placed 5th at Phantom 2019, the third-largest tournament in the early metagame, and found some success internationally, placing 25th at 2GG: Nightmare on Smashville and defeating Kameme at Mega Smash Mondays 219. He eventually dropped King K. Rool for Wolf before retiring from competitive play; nevertheless, he is considered the best King K. Rool player in the early metagame.
