From SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki
Akira (あきら) is a Smasher from Kansai. He is best known for being one of the best Super Smash Bros. Brawl players in Japan in the game's early years, regularly competing with Souther for the title of the best and having won KetubatoX 1 and KetubatoX 4; the latter made him the first Japanese Meta Knight player to win a major, and the only one until Otori's victory at Apex 2012. Even after his prime, he was still considered to be one of the best Meta Knight players in Japan, frequently placing top 8 at Sumabato events. He ended his Brawl career placing 13th at Sumabato X Final, which was the second-largest Japanese Brawl tournament.
He remained active in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, playing Bayonetta in the former and Link in the latter. Though he was not as well-known in both games compared to his Brawl career, he has made a few notable impacts on both games, such as ranking on the JAPAN Power Rankings in Smash 4 and defeating Kome at SUMABATO x CYCLOPS #93 in Ultimate. He was also active in Super Smash Bros. Melee, previously ranking 2nd on the Kansai Battle Rankings.
