This is a list of trailers meant to advertise Super Smash Bros. Brawl. With the exception of the trailer shown at Nintendo World 2006, these trailers are included in the game itself. As the introduction cutscene was shown at several events, it can technically be considered a trailer, but it is not included here.

E3 2006 Trailer[edit]

E3 2006 reveal trailer.

This is the first trailer for the game, which debuted on May 11, 2006 during the E3 of that year. The trailer begins with Mario, Link, Kirby, and Pikachu, all in their Super Smash Bros. Melee models, running towards each other in a black void. Once they all meet, they transition to their new Brawl models as the new Battlefield materializes around them. After a title drop, several shots of in-engine gameplay featuring these four characters on Battlefield and the then unannounced Castle Siege, as well as a brief reveal of the Nintendog assist trophy. The trailer then cuts to a pre-rendered shot of Mario grabbing a Smash Ball and performing his Final Smash, with Link and Kirby performing theirs in the same pre-rendered fashion. The trailer then transitions to reveal Halberd. Switching to pre-rendered CGI, The hangar opens to the shock of all combatants, and Meta Knight reveals himself. Switching back to gameplay, Meta Knight attacks the four combatants on the Halberd stage. Switching back to pre-rendered, a Light Arrow shoots at Meta Knight from off-screen, but he turns invisible to block it and retreats. the light arrow came from Pit, acting as a reveal for his new design that would be his standard design going forward. Pit launches another light arrow, but Meta Knight dodges it and rushes Pit. In response, Pit bisects is bow into dual blades, where it switches back to gameplay of the two fighting. Switching back to pre-rendered, Samus suddenly appears and lines up her own Final Smash against the two, but they narrowly dodge. Samus, partially obscured by the dust and debris, sheds her armor to reveal the separate character Zero Suit Samus. Before she can engage the opponents, a motorcycle approaches them, revealing Wario as the rider. Wario loses control of the motorcycle and spins out, nearly hitting Pit and Samus and crashing into a rock. All the other combatants look on in confusion as Wario awkwardly picks himself up. Suddenly, Wario's belly begins to expand. The other combatants gasp in horror as Wario unleashes a massive fart, the shockwave felt from far away.

Snake, as seen in the first trailer for Brawl at E3 2006.

After another title drop, a codec call suddenly appears on-screen. Colonel Roy Campbell and Snake appear and have a conversation. The voices are exclusively in Japanese, but the subtitles have been translated into several other languages. Colonel frantically tells Snake that he has big news, to which Snake groans at the thought of another mission. Colonel then asks Snake if he is familiar with Super Smash Bros., to which Snake responds by describing it as "That Nintendo thing" in a confused tone. Colonel continues by claiming he received an invitation to join the game, the first instance of invitations being handed out in-universe. After the Colonel asks Snake if he accepts, Snake takes a long pause. This prompts the Colonel to ask Snake where he is. The camera then wipes to Snake already on Battlefield, hiding in a box. Snake claims he is doing reconnaissance, as knowing the enemy is the quickest path to victory. Snake throws away the box to reveal himself to the combatants, shouting his iconic phrase "It's showtime." The trailer ends on a "coming soon" tagline.
