Is Meta Knight really that good? I mean he has to tier and all, but I don't personally like him.

Please state your opinion. Jellybeanman (talk) 22:14, 11 October 2013 (EDT)

Years of Meta Knight mains winning almost every major tournament, Meta Knight having a huge player base, winning almost six times more money than Snake, as well as the character himself having many KO options, an amazing recovery, transcendent priority in a great portion of his attacks, and having a few tournament legal stages where he is almost guaranteed a win if played right (read: Delfino Plaza.) You don't have to like him (I play him sometimes but I really don't like his playstyle at all) but you have to respect that he's pretty much the best character in the game. --Timson622222 (talk) 22:48, 11 October 2013 (EDT)

He's even optionally banned in some tournaments as well due to him being broken. :P Dots MewtwoMS.png The Achiever 01:09, 12 October 2013 (EDT)

Personally I feel this guy is very weak, for a player who isn't a professional. That's because if you want to play with him and achieve something incredible. You better learn his tricks.. Practice on gliding, because you gonna need it. However if you still a beginner, you better try some easy characters.. like Ike for example. --Megadardery's Personal signature imageegadardery (edits) 04:36, 12 October 2013 (EDT)

That's a newb misconception, Meta Knight is not at all a weak character, his overall power is around middle of the road, which is very disproportionate for someone of his top tier speed, which is one of the major things that makes him broken. He has f-smash, d-smash, u-tilt, nair, glide attack, grounded Shuttle Loop, and Dimensional Cape, seven moves that reliably KO under 150%. And only Dimensional Cape and u-tilt aren't easy to land; that's five moves that reliably KO under 150% (and they're strong enough to KO under 125%) that are also very safe and easy to land. How many other characters can you name with five reliable and easy to land KO moves? There aren't many. Factor with this his incredible edge-guarding ability and all the ways he can gimp, the ability of aerial Shuttle Loop to KO you at 75% and under if landed near the edge, situational vertical kills from uair, Nado, and u-throw, and Meta Knight has among the best KOing ability in Brawl (while also possessing without a doubt the best damage racking capabilities).
Meta Knight is not a character who relies on "tricks" like Diddy Kong or Ice Climbers, he's simply a broken character with a moveset and statistics that are flat out better than what anyone else possesses. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 05:08, 12 October 2013 (EDT)

Meta Knight is hands down the best in the game, and along with what Timson said, I'd say he's actually pretty easy to use. His speed, aerials, and down smash are easy to utilize, and his advanced techniques aren't as difficult to perform as, say, Pikachu or Snake. When I picked up a Meta Knight, I was able to adapt immediately due to his advantages. Scr7Scr7 sig.png(talk · contribs) 04:41, 12 October 2013 (EDT)
