Grand Cross (グランドクロス, Grand Cross) is Simon and Richter's Final Smash.
Overview
A large coffin appears in front of Simon, trapping fighters within it. He then grabs the coffin with his chain whip, and tosses it up in the air, under the moonlight, before unleashing multiple energy crosses from underneath to attack with.
Origin

The Grand Cross's appearance in Ultimate is specifically based on its appearance in Rondo of Blood, where it was an Item Crash attack; Richter had to have the Cross equipped as his sub-weapon, as well as have a greater number of hearts saved than to use the item normally in order to use the attack; whereas using the Cross normally requires one heart, using Grand Cross requires ten. Item Crash attacks are typically very damaging and cover a wide variety of the screen, not unlike other Final Smashes, but in Smash, the move is instead used as part of a trap. The energy like appearance may also be inspired by how it appeared in Aria of Sorrow and Dawn of Sorrow.
