The Scuffed World Tour is an upcoming Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament intended to serve as a replacement for the cancelled Smash World Tour 2022 Championships. It will be hosted by Ludwig on December 18th, 2022. The 8 players with the most points on the Smash World Tour 2022 standings for both games will be invited. Ludwig is also adding "8 more players that we handpick for each game"[1] for a total of 16 players per game.[2] The 1 player with the highest amount of points in a Smash World Tour 2022 region in the overall Top 30 of the leaderboards will be invited if not already qualified.[3] Any replacements for players who can't attend will be handpicked.[4] There will be a pot prize of $50,000 ($25,000 for each game). The tournament will raise money for VGBootCamp, who lost hundreds of thousands of dollars due to the cancellation of the Smash World Tour 2022 Championships,[5] and had to cancel major tournaments Glitch: Duel of Fates and Double Down 2023 in the process.[6]
