Team wobble refers to a team of competitive players grab releasing or chain grabbing an opponent into one another. As long as both players grab correctly, this is a team infinite. Team wobbling is usually seen in Super Smash Bros. Brawl due to grab releases being efficient when teams become 2v1's. Two players stand on each side of their target, and use their grab and Pummel, constantly pressing the grab button (or the attack button to grab out of the shield, which is easier to use) to catch the opponent when they manage to escape from the other player's grab to continues to pummel. Although all characters can perform this, some characters with superior grabs (like Olimar) are better at the Team Wobble than other characters with slow or short grabs, such as (Bowser or Pikachu).

Although difficult, it is possible to escape this, as characters will sometimes randomly shoot into the air when they escape. This technique can be performed with two players on a team, or two opposing players working together (although they must be sure not to get hit by each other's pummel). Because of Stale-Move Negation, this strategy takes a large amount of time to build up notable damage, so is mostly use for stalling the game, or annoying the other player.

Team Wobbling Examples

In Super Smash Bros.

It is difficult to team wobble in SSB due to being forced to throw and the fact that there is no pummel in said game. However, DK is able to cargo release into another DK grabbing and with correct timing, 2 Captain Falcons can regrab into another grab.

In Super Smash Bros. Melee

This technique is usually at the end of doubles matches. Characters with quick grabs/pummels such as Fox, Ganondorf, and Marth are usually seen doing this. The beginning of the video, Wombo Combo, for example, shows Captain Falcon and Fox grab releasing another Fox.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Team wobbling is much more common in Brawl as it is possible to grab release characters easily. However, the grab release may fail due to one of the throwers Prat Falling. It is also possible to use King Dedede's chain grab to down throw into one another.
