"Yo", merging this article about the series with the universe would be "cool", and I'm "down" with that. Cafinator (talk) 05:16, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

There is a good deal of overlapping content, but it's really just restricted to the characters section of this article. The rest of this article would best stand on its own. --Kirby King 05:21, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

I agree with Kirby King. And LOL at what The Cafinator said.KP317 (talk) 20:34, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

omg rofl cafinator. and I too agree with Kirby King. Baltro (talk) 21:52, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

I don't see too much of a reason to combine SSB(universe) with SSB(series). I mean, the other universes/series are split up. Besides, (universe) is for more of an in-game look at things, while (series) is more of an out-of-game subject. So SSB(u) would discuss the characters and world in more depth, while SSB(s) would talk more about game mechanics and reception. At least, that's how it should be. Went ahead and removed the merge tag, since no one seems to mind. Toomai Glittershine The Stats Guy 03:19, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

Future of the series

Do you think we should include any news on the series' future if there is any? KrustySmasherX (talk) 11:00, April 14, 2010 (UTC)ZAMDultra

If there's any official news from Nintendo, it'll get covered here without a doubt. Miles (talk) 21:06, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
Okay, thanks, Miles. I just wanted to be sure on that, as they wasn't any section that would effectively explain the possible futures of the series. KrustySmasherX (talk) 21:45, April 16, 2010 (UTC)KrustySmasherX

Hey, you guys, do you think these articles are worth mentioning in the section about the future of the Smash series? --NintendoNinjaCarson (talk) 19:12, 25 February 2015 (EST)

Update the Pic

So that I don't make another duplicate (since the file is locked), someone update the Original Twelve pic with Yoshi's new art :) Nutta Butta (talk) 21:05, 8 April 2014 (EDT)

Merge? Super Smash Bros. (series) & Super Smash Bros. (universe)

Should those two pages be merged? They basically about the same thing, plus no other series has a distinction on the Wiki between "series" and "universe". Unknown the Hedgehog 10:10, 2 June 2014 (EDT)

Strong oppose: Quite simply, this page covers the series in a way analogous to other wikis' pages on their main series. The universe page, on the other hand, covers Smash's universe contributions to itself: that is, stuff like Battlefield and Final Destination. I would agree that some of the stuff like descriptions of Smash-original characters belongs there rather than here; nevertheless, the two pages serve different roles and shouldn't be merged. Head Sprites

While watching footage during E3, I noticed, during stock matches, there were head sprites similar to ones used on each character's SSB4 page here on the SmashWiki. Should those head sprites be transferred over here to the character section? Aidanzapunk (talk) 12:13, 26 June 2014 (EDT)

Not yet. In my experience, indirect footage is generally not acceptable quality for textures of small size, especially if they have transparent bits. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Brass 12:15, 26 June 2014 (EDT)

Deletion

Full support. Largely irrelevant, aside from a couple of mentions of Smash which seem a bit shoehorned in. Nyargleblargle.pngNyargleblargle (Contribs) 09:37, 1 April 2016 (EDT)
