Deletion

I think we should delete this and replace it with a disambig page to moveset subpages. If I recall correctly, this page was only really created because, with the Knee Smash, it was the only other normal move with an in-game official name. Now that we have multiple other moves with this property (Cover Fire, Justice Sword, S3), we need to pick which side of the fence to be on - and unlike the knee, I think this falls on the "not notable by itself" side. Unless if there is any notability that can be salvaged, I'll support this. I have played as Zelda a few times, and I simply considered this move as nothing special; just a normal, albeit strong, move. Berrenta (talk) 13:08, 29 October 2014 (EDT)
I don't think it is fair to delete this one and keep the Knee Smash, but I support if both of them are deleted. For me, it is either all or none. Tepig (talk) 13:47, 29 October 2014 (EDT)
As a note, it is one of the strongest aerials in the game, and also Zelda's strongest move. As stated in the article, it's also among the few aerials which can reliably be used as a KO move. It's also unique in that Zelda's Fair and Bair are simply two variations of the same move. I don't think it should be deleted, and as Tepig hinted to, I also don't think keeping just one of them is right. Opposed deletion. PainLesS (talk) 15:55, 7 November 2014 (EST)
One, use the preview button. Second, I'm neutral about this. While it is somewhat notable in being one of Zelda's strongest moves, we don't really have that many pages about other character's forward/back aerials. Unless we create pages for them, or we did and I just didn't know about them, then… I don't know what to do with this page. Um, who says it has to be deleted? Just rename it Zelda (SSBwhatever)/Forward aerial. RoyboyX Talk 20:07, 7 November 2014 (EST)
Or replace it with a disambiguation page, since Zelda has this in every game. --Menshay (talk) 13:08, 8 November 2014 (EST)
Yes of course as I said above it would be replaced with "a disambig page to moveset subpages". But the page wouldn't stay in its current form. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Quiet 13:19, 8 November 2014 (EST)
I oppose deletion unless we also delete Knee Smash. If this deletion passes I'm going to start a deletion request for Knee Smash actually ---Preceding unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe Nutta. 13:20, 8 November 2014 (EST)
The knee is far too memetic and notable to be deleted. This isn't, and is exactly why I proposed its deletion. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Awesome 13:22, 8 November 2014 (EST)
I support this due to the fact that normal attacks generally do not have their own pages. However, the content of the page shouldn't simply be lost; a merge (or split merges) with other pages might be in order. FirstaLasto 13:26, 8 November 2014 (EST)
I support deletion. Only the Mario Tornado should have an article and not Zelda's bair and fair moves. --Tailikku (talk) 23:49, 21 November 2014 (EST)
Of course, I use it, but it doesn't guarantee no further edits. Anyway, since there is info on the move, it makes zero sense deleting the article. PainLesS (talk) 10:00, 9 November 2014 (EST)
  • Oppose: Both Knee Smash and Lightning Kick ought to be kept. Both have competitive coverage and in-game special recognition.
