* Stafy is actually supposed to be "Starfy", but a translation error caused all references to him in ''Brawl'' to be missing the "r". Because of this, many people mistakenly think that the series he hails from is called "Densetsu no Stafy", when it is actually called "Densetsu no Starfy".

Stafy (スタフィー sutafī), also called "Stafi", "Starfy", and/or "Starfi", is the main character of the Densetsu no Starfy series. He has had five of his own games, the first three appeared on the Game Boy Advance, the fourth game for the Nintendo DS, and the most recent fifth game titled, Densetsu no Starfy:Taiketsu! Dire Kaizokudan, also on the Nintendo DS. He appears to be about 7-9 years of age. He's a little clumsy, but he can be very strong when he puts his mind to it. His sister, Stapy, sometimes motivates him to do so. His games are similar to that of Kirby or Mario, in the way that you explore levels and platforming sequences. His trademark is his spin attack, even though it is not accessible at the beginning of each installment. The series itself began in 2002, making it 7 years old and a fairly recent franchise. The current game, The Legendary Starfy for the Nintendo DS, is the first game in the series to be released outside of Japan.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Stafy appears as an Assist Trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. He does a brief spin attack, which can briefly trap an opponent, somewhat like Toon Link's Spin Attack. However, Stafy's spin attacks are very weak, and aren't much of a threat, as unlike other assist trophies, Stafy can be attacked and knocked away. But, if he receives a high amount of damage, he will explode, an attack that gives high knockback and damage. You can easily exploit this weakness by defeating Stafy with a smash attack.

Additionally, Stafy appears as a regular trophy, which is unlocked by clearing Target Smash Level 1 with at least 10 different characters.

Trophy Description

The prince of the kingdom of Tenkai. He's a bit spacey and clumsy, but when he sets his mind to something, he gives it his all. Stafy gets help from his friends Kyorosuke the clam and the wizened Lobjii-san. Stafy sometimes dons a pig suit and throws pork cutlets. In Densetsu No Stafy 3, Stafy meets Wario and goes with him to steal the treasures of the deep.
