Nyani is an American smasher and streamer from New Jersey. While she began competitive play in the early days of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, she began to improve most noticeably in the 3.02 release of Project M.

Background

Nyani began playing Smash competitively upon the release of Brawl, maining Mario. She failed to make ay major impacts during her time in the game however, and eventually reappeared in 2014 as a Zero Suit Samus player in Project M 3.02. Shortly thereafter she became a staff member with CLASH Tournaments.

She primarily competes in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, where she mains Mii Swordfighter, being one of the few players to represent the character in tournament.

A testimonial[1] written by Nyani supporting and introducing allegations of harassment and abuse by Alex Strife was influential in increasing public pressure upon him to step down as TO of Apex 2015.
