The Great Gonzales, commonly shortened as Gonz or TGG, is a SSBU player from New Jersey, and is considered to be one of the best players in New Jersey, as well as formerly one of the best Ness players in the United States. He is very well known for his performance in Smash 4 at Royal Flush, where he placed 5th.
The Great Gonzales was ranked 11th on the final New Jersey Smash 4 Power Rankings, uncharacteristically low due to lack of motivation by the end of Smash 4's lifespan. He has taken sets off of players such as James, Wishes, Light, Mr.E, Pugwest, Lima, WaDi, ScAtt, and Salem.
With the advent of Ultimate, Gonz initially mained Simon and Richter Belmont. However, after the initial month of the game he has since moved on to the higher tier character, Palutena. He has achieved large success on the local and regional level thus far, but has yet to make a national breakout performance.
The Great Gonzales is currently ranked 4th on the New Jersey Ultimate Power Rankings.
