#1 [Info]What is Super Smash Bros.?

"Super Smash Bros." (as Smash Bros. below)
is a free-for-all multiplayer action game where
famous characters furiously clash against each other.

The rules are simple. First, attack the enemy to raise their damage.

The more their damage builds up, the farther they'll fly.
You score by successfully knocking away an opponent off-screen.

The gameplay is pretty friendly towards beginners, but I'm sure you'll find that that it actually has a lot of depth once you start digging deeper into it.

So I made this page in hopes that it will guide you to discovering that depth as best as possible.

Famous but also unfriendly.

#2 [Controls]Use Smash attacks!

Smash Bros. uses the analog ability of the control stick.
The "smash (a fast flick motion)" is the most crucial mechanic.

Jump by smashing up, dash by smashing sideways,
By attacking and smashing at the same time, a powerful smash attack
攻撃がくりだせる。

Excessive force will hurt your fingers,
it is better to smash lightly and smoothly.

(a dramatic electric jolt) is an electric burst.

#3 [Tactics]If you're knocked off, you must recover!

If a blow is strong enough, you may falter
and fall.

First, push the control stick sideways to move as close to the stage as possible.
Then try to recover by double jumping.
If you still can't reach the stage, follow with your up special move.
(Except for some characters.)

Don't give up, you can recover a significant distance.

If you come to disturb or even prevent a recovery,
play becomes even more fierce.

Lateral movement, double jump, up special. IMPORTANT!!

#4 [Options]Use the Auto-Handicap!

The auto-handicap will automatically set handicaps depending on the outcome of battles,
with the winner getting weaker and the loser getting stronger.

When ON, it's so much better than
constantly tweaking with the controls. Please use it! Always!
Thank you again!

Strength in numbers (handicap), I know,
but that only makes it difficult for skilled players.

In this case, Pikachu's the strongest player.

#5 [Controls]Carefully Pose with the Pause

While playing normally, press the Start button to pause
to zoom in on your character
and you can tweak and fiddle the stick to view from any angle.

You may see other small characters;
try looking around, you may find something new.

Incidentally, you can access a menu in training mode.
