Well, kinda. The sentence structure (if that makes sense) is, as said before, awkward. I can understand what it's trying to say, but it's not exactly clear. I could have made the sentences a bit more fluid, but I was trying to strike a balance between that and making the page look similar to the original - as well as have the rollover text generally match, which is difficult considering the languages' different word orders. This is more of a test anyway - maybe feedback will say that the rollover text is unecessary, leaving more room for a more English structure. I translated the "What is Super Smash Bros.?" section more accurately as well as the table of contents for my first contribution.

Although the section kept the same format as the website, there were two sentences that I edited to be bundled as one paragraph:

とは、なじみのキャラがはげしくぶつかりあい、
競いあう対戦型アクションゲームである。
is a free-for-all multiplayer action game where
familiar characters furiously clash against each other.

When rolled over on either sentence, it will display the full paragraph as shown. I felt I needed to do this for this one group because it would be worded too awkwardly and foreign if translated literally. There were also a few commas and other things out of place when translating literally from Japanese to English, so I nixed them too. This is why I would rather have the project translated by paragraph instead of by sentence. Are you sure it's best if we kept doing translating by sentence? I think it's fine if we do paragraphs as long as we keep the lines in check as best as possible.

Also, I tried my best in doing the translation as literally as possible, but in a way I also felt that limited me too. So far it's not bad the way it is, but I personally would much rather have it be Brawl Dojo-esque and have the Japanese paragraphs rewritten in more formal English. However, if I ever do get permission to do this, I promise I will not have any bias when translating the website and will write the words as if Sakurai himself wrote them in English (Yes, he actually is the author of Dojo 64). After all, when translating any language it's really hard to translate the raw stuff without making any changes. I'm not sold on using ～ as a numeric range hyphen, but other than that I think the only thing that can be improved is the formatting (which is my job). Toomai Glittershine The Sphere 10:33, 27 September 2013 (EDT)

Well the ~ was in the original site, and it's used as a numeric range hyphen in Japan to avoid confusion of the dash being mistaken for the character "one". It was just a way of trying to resemble the site like what people wanted, but I can easily change that to a regular hyphen if you really want that.
