SSB World is not necessarily the best database in the world. All of the data presented on their site is entirely based on ''Smash 4'' VODs from tournaments that are uploaded to the site. The site will never be perfect for player records nor do intend on replacing any existing smash datasets, rankings or sites. With SSB World current decent stats, the database has grown numerously throgh out the years. After {{Sm|ZeRo}} releasing his ''Ultimate'' demo tier list [https://www.youtube.com/Kqw_0lNe4WU video], the website received nearly 5,000 visitors. There were also high traffic on the tier lists.

SSB World is an Smash 4 and Ultimate community-driven database for competitive tournaments. It maintained over 17,000 players on SSB World profile, around 54,000 videos, and over 158,000 games within its database.

Decline[edit]

Despite initial optimism, the website declined after 2019, grinding to a halt in 2021, suspending contribitions.
