This is the list of known changes in version 1.0.4 of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. All claims on this page must be verifiable, preferably with a trustable source link, and must compare both the old and new states. Ensure that all changes are also listed on the respective pages.
Bowser
- Self-destructs using Flying Slam now KO Bowser first instead of the opponent. When Bowser is KO'd, the opponent is released from the grab, potentially allowing them to recover back onto the stage.
Captain Falcon
- Falcon Kick does 9% damage when landing instead of 7%.
Dr. Mario
- Dash Attack now does vertical knockback as opposed to oblique.
Falco
- Forward tilt does 10% damage, up from 9%.
- Dash attack does 10% damage, up from 9%.
- Uncharged forward smash does 17% damage instead of 15%.
- Uncharged up smash does 18% damage as opposed to 16%.
- Back air does 14% damage instead of 13%.
- Up air does 12% damage as opposed to 11%.
- Uncharged down smash does 13% damage instead of 15%.
- Down tilt does 10% damage as opposed to 12% damage.
Ganondorf
- Sourspot of Down Smash's second hit now does 15-16% base damage as opposed to 19%.
Ike
- Down tilt now does 8% damage instead of 7%.
- Back air does 14% damage as opposed to 13%.
- Down throw does 7% damage instead of 4%.
Link
- First hit of neutral combo now does 3% damage instead of 2%.
- First and third hits of up smash do 1% more damage, for a total of 19% damage as opposed to 21%.
- Sweetspot of second hit of down smash now does 13% damage as opposed to 12%.
Little Mac
- Second hit of neutral attack does 2% damage instead of 3%.
- Forward smash (forward and upward) do 20% base damage instead of 19%.
- A sweet spotted Up Smash now does 21% base damage instead of 20%.
Luigi
- Forward smash does 16% base damage as opposed to 14%.
- Down smash now does 15% base damage as opposed to 14%.
- Green Missile now does 22% damage when fully charged as opposed to 20%. This does not affect the uncharged version.
- Second hit of neutral combo does 2% damage as opposed to 5%.
Meta Knight
- Neutral aerial deals 10% damage sweetspotted and 7.5% sourspotted instead of 7% sweetspotted and 5% sourspotted.
- The second hit of forward aerial can no longer meteor smash opponents.
- Back aerial deals more knockback.
- Forward throw now deals 9% damage to all opponents instead of only dealing 3% to most opponents.
Mii Brawler
- Side smash does 26% damage when fully charged instead of 25%.
- Up smash does 19% damage when fully charged instead of 18%.
Mr. Game & Watch
Peach
- Each hit of down smash now does 3-4% damage instead of 2-3%.
Pikachu
- Neutral air now does 1% more damage, doing 9% damage as opposed to 8% with a clean hit.
- Skull Bash now does 10% damage when uncharged as opposed to 6%.
Robin
- Back air deals 15% when Levin sword is used as opposed to 13%.
Rosalina & Luma
- Luma respawn time changed from 8 seconds to 13 seconds.
Wario
- Removed "wectoring", a glitch allowing Wario to rocket back onstage just after being able to act after knockback.
- Dash attack now does 7% instead of 11%.
