- Retailers have a long history of "guessing" release dates for games. Unless it originates from a Nintendo source, I wouldn't include a release date from a retailer. Miles (talk) 17:34, 24 July 2014 (EDT)

Nintendo France banner inadvertently displaying Super Smash Bros. 4 (Wii U) release date
There was news of a Nintendo France advertisement that showcased a potential release date of November 21, 2014, but apparently it has been addressed as an error by Nintendo. I guess time will tell of the banner's veracity. Fenyx4 (talk) 11:18, 16 September 2014 (EDT)

- There is no confirmation, although it is kinda widespread. Nintendo of France confirmed that this release date is false for France at least, (which was on one of their ad banners for their game) but this may just be them covering their asses.
