OverviewEdit

Update HistoryEdit

  3.1.0

  •   Fixed a glitch where Egg Lay would cause trapped opponents to fast fall while caught during hitstun.

Grabbox DataEdit

ID Radius Bone Offset G A
Early
0 4.0 mouth2 -0.9 -0.5 0.0
1 3.5 mouth2 -2.0 -0.5 0.0

Late
0 4.0 mouth2 -0.9 -0.5 0.0
1 3.5 mouth2 -2.0 -0.5 0.0

Differences for Kirby's Copy AbilityEdit

  •   Due to Kirby lacking Yoshi's specific mouth bones, the first two grabboxes are assigned to a different bone ("mouth2" → "throw").

Differences for Kirby's Copy AbilityEdit

  •   The grounded grab has a shorter animation (61 frames → 51), matching the aerial version.

ParametersEdit

The initial amount of frames the opponent is trapped in the egg is determined by 100 + percent * 1.8, with a maximum percent of 100%. Button mashing reduces this amount by 7 frames per stick input, and 12.6 frames per button input (though they cannot be registered as quickly), while attacking the opponent inside the egg reduces frames equal to 2× of the damage dealt (taking the egg's 0.66× damage multiplier into account). The latter includes the damage dealt by the throw itself, so under normal circumstances, the effective egg duration without mashing ranges from 86 to 266 frames (84 to 264 with the 1v1 multiplier).

Aerial vertical speed upon laying egg 1
Egg initial speed 0.7 (horizontal)
2 (vertical)
Damage taken multiplier inside egg 0.66
Vertical speed when breaking out of egg 2.5
Intangibility when breaking out of egg 7 frames
Initial egg size multiplier 0.45
Period for the egg to grow to full size 20 frames
Horizontal speed by directional input inside egg 0.3 (grounded)
0.01 (aerial)
Vertical speed by directional input inside egg 1 (grounded)
0.1 (aerial)
