It's time for a bout with speedy rodents. They're agile, less rotund than a few years ago, and have similar Final Smashes - which quick-attacker wins?

Favorite Pokemon. AND ITS SO CUTE!! Who cares if anyone says if its a weakling in Pokemon (even though it is true) as this is a TOP TIER character in SSB64 and Brawl. DotsTheSafari 12:19, 22 September 2012 (EDT)

My former main. AirConditioner Now with ROLLBACK! 14:02, 22 September 2012 (EDT)
I'm poor with both of these characters, and I don't particularly enjoy playing as either. However, Pichu is my Melee main, so eh. Oh sorry, you wanted a humorous vote? My mistake, aim for the horn or something. Toastltimatum 14:12, 22 September 2012 (EDT)

Pikachu may not be as fast as Sonic, but other than that, he is better in every other aspect.Shanderu 15:35, 22 September 2012 (EDT)
Hate Sonic. 24.229.146.142 16:11, 22 September 2012 (EDT)
Three things. 1. Even though i like fast character, Sonic is just a little too fast. 2. The intro kinda mentions Pikachu's up special. 3. I've liked Pokémon for 5 years. I still don't like Sonic. DragonMistress (talk) 13:14, 24 September 2012 (EDT)
Sonic is not Nintendo. Sega is not even owned by Nintendo. --TommyNook (talk) 16:55, 24 September 2012 (EDT)
Sonic has the pitiful attack power of Samus and he is hard to control consistently. Pikachu outranks Sonic by that much. 71.199.149.250 08:12, 26 September 2012 (EDT)

Sonic is very sub-par in Brawl. Pikachu is epic. =3 67.173.145.76 13:39, 28 September 2012 (EDT)
Sonic's cool...but Pikachu demonstrates Shock And Awe rather nicely, with a great/fun-to-play moveset to boot. Super speed is nice, but heightened speed plus literally-stunning electrical attacks are even better (and Volt Tackle, whether in Pulseman, the Pokémon games, the Super Smash Bros. series, or the Pokémon anime, is just freaking awesome). And Pikachu's just so cute! ^_^ :3 Finally, Ash's Pikachu has pretty much catapulted the Pikachu species into awesomeness. A1M 4 T3H H0RN! (o^.^o) Fenyx4 (talk) 20:47, 28 September 2012 (EDT)

Hey Pikachu, you don't have a bunch of moves that are the same, but you're too slow! Also, you're a Pokemon, which is never a good thing. Supersmash4 (talk) 12:19, 22 September 2012 (EDT)

Its probably not going to pass the Surggestions page though, since it has to be Smash Bros. related only. We had this talk last round ago. DotsTheSafari 22:37, 23 September 2012 (EDT)
That is just a flat-out bad idea for reasons that should not have to be explained. ToomaiGlittershine The Eggster 23:06, 23 September 2012 (EDT)
This is a rather interesting match-up; I like how two differently-stylized videogame rodents from differing franchises square off, with both of them being iconic in their own right. Fenyx4 (talk) 20:49, 28 September 2012 (EDT)
To KO Mario and Luigi on retro-inspired stages is the goal of both these events. Which one does it better - the two-minute timed match, or the silly-stage Wario time?

I like this one; an easy event match to win, I tell you what. To score a good KO on Mario Bros. is an enormous headache compared to all other stages, banned or otherwise. Heh! 71.199.149.250 13:31, 29 September 2012 (EDT)

I don't have Melee, but Wario Bros. in Brawl is the worst. SSBBNess (talk) 14:51, 30 September 2012 (EDT)
This was one of the less remarkable events in Melee, but compared to Wario Bros., you get to choose your character, it's not a standard 2 on 1 affair, it's on a less terrible stage, and it's not a rehash. OmegaTyrant 03:24, 1 October 2012 (EDT)
Time for a hilarious video to be on this side of the poll. [1] Or at least a moment around 40 seconds into it that proves whether friendly fire is on or not. Toadat9021doh (talk) 18:56, 5 October 2012 (EDT)
It's a battle between two versions of the iconic screwball. Is the throwing weapon with a satisfying smack or the sleek and sticky badge the better deal?

More strategy involved. --- ReiDemon, Author Extraordinaire, 23:58, 5 October 2012 (EDT)
You can hold it forever, while the badge doesn't permanently stay. ShupaRoeh 01:44, 6 October 2012 (EDT)
It's more useful. You can hold onto it forever to use its primary effect, or you can throw at someone for high damage while launching them into the air in a helpless state (the only kind of attack in any Smash game that can do that). Plus, being able to hold it made it invaluable in the Multiman modes. OmegaTyrant 06:06, 6 October 2012 (EDT)
You can throw it to someone who's trying to recover and make them fall helplessly to their doom >:D Bandit 07:50, 6 October 2012 (EDT)
I find having to carry the item an inconvenience, as it will overwrite your A button attacks, and I've never yet used it to KO, but then I thought screw it, because it does seem fun to attack with. Toastltimatum 09:33, 6 October 2012 (EDT)
The Brawl one looks cooler, but this one can be thrown at opponets. Being able to Screw Attack is good in Metroid, not Smash Bros. That's why whenever I got a Screw Attack in Melee, the first thing I'd do is throw it at an opponet. You can't do that in Brawl, so obviously the Melee version is the better one. Supersmash4 (talk) 10:54, 6 October 2012 (EDT)
This one is more useful, you can throw it as opposed to the Brawl one, when thrown at an opponent and hits them, you can punish them. SmashMaster 12:12, 6 October 2012 (EDT)
The sound the comes when you hit someone with it is so awsome!TheCheese 17:58, 7 October 2012 (EDT)
The Brawl one feels like punishment to get because it hinders your jumping abilities..68.115.61.130 13:08, 9 October 2012 (EDT)
In Melee, if you throw it at someone, they become helpless after Screw Attacking. I've had a few matches where a simple toss of a Screw Attack dispatches the opponent. Melee it is! Takava (talk) 18:14, 9 October 2012 (EDT)

This one's better 'cause one can attack aerially without throwing it and making your opponent spin jump to damage you. 71.199.149.250 11:31, 6 October 2012 (EDT)
Giving your opponent a new way to attack you is just stupid, even if throw damage is given. Toadat9021doh (talk) 11:49, 6 October 2012 (EDT)
Not a finicky throwing item. JamesHeart123 13:48, 7 October 2012 (EDT)
Kinda indifferent on the execution by both, but this one's got a more slick design. Krazy4Krash (talk) 00:45, 8 October 2012 (EDT)
I like the black coloration used for the Melee Screw Attack item variant, but I like the implementation Brawl variant better. I'd rather have the item as a Badge than as a singular item (which prevents me from using other attacks or holding other items) despite the shortened usage time in Brawl; the Screw Attack item also seems cooler being used as a "Badge". Also, see Screw Attack (SSB Brawl) Votes #6 and #7. Fenyx4 (talk) 20:12, 12 October 2012 (EDT)
