The Z is a top-level Smash 64 player based in Montreal, Quebec, currently regarded as one of the best in North America and the second best in Canada behind SuPeRbOoMfAn.
He is the founder of tR3g and is considered one of the best Fox players in the world, on top of being able to use virtually any character at a tournament level.
He is one half of Team Luv along with the Texan smasher tacos, and the team has so far made a very strong impact, taking second at Apex 2015.
History
The Z made his international debut in January 2014 at Apex 2014, where he beat YBOMBB (2-1) before being sent to loser's bracket by the Japanese player Merihim (1-2) and was later eliminated by tacos (0-2) to ultimately land at an underwhelming 25th place.
In March 2014, he participated at Polybash XIII where he beat notable American and Canadian players such as Sex (2-0) and Fireblaster (2-0), and notably defeated Mew2King (3-1) using Donkey Kong. He placed 2nd, only losing to KeroKeroppi.
In August 2014, he entered singles at Zenith 2014 where he placed 4th, defeating notable players such as Clubba (2-0), LD (2-0) and Nintendude (2-0), before losing to Wizzrobe in a Yoshi ditto (2-3) and KeroKeroppi (1-3). He also won the doubles bracket, teaming with SuPeRbOoMfAn.
On January 10, 2015, The Z traveled to Echo 2015 in Ottawa, the strongest Smash 64 event in Canada in years, where he beat many notable Canadian players, outplaced YBOMBB and notably double-eliminated Revan 3-0 and 3-2. He only lost to SuPeRbOoMfAn, solidifying his place as Canada's second strongest player. He also teamed with Revan and eliminated Sextc and YBOMBB's team twice.
On January 31st, 2015, The Z entered singles at Apex 2015 in Secaucus, New Jersey. After defeating Aisengobay 2-0 and Cobr 2-0, he entered Top 16 through losers after a 1-2 set against KeroKeroppi, defeated Killer 2-1 and landed at 9th place after losing to Dext3r 1-2. He also entered doubles, teaming with tacos, where they took convincing victories over formidable teams, such as a 3-1 victory against Banze and Cabelo, 3-0 against Dext3r and Wizzrobe, and 3-0 against Star King and Killer (after losing to them 2-3 in winners' side). They then played SuPeRbOoMfAn and JaimeHR in Grand Finals, where they lost 0-3, taking second place.
