Legitimacy

I do not see how this tier list is legitimate; it says "community-voted" right in the title of the SmashBoards thread, there have been no official news posts on the subject, and the head of the project does not seem to be anybody particularly important. I recall the Project M Tier List made by CLASH Tournaments, however that was voted by top players. Question, is there a Smash 4 Back Room? If not, delete it. Falcon-X (talk) 11:42, 26 March 2015 (EDT)

As cool as it is, I agree that this list should probably be removed. All the other tier lists we have on the wiki were voted on by professionals or Back Roomers. Someone here could have voted for Luigi just because they like him or something. Also, the opinions of casual players could have influenced it, like people who think that Pit is good simply because of his Side-B. We'll just have to wait for an official Tier List. The PM team explicitly stomped on CLASH's tier list, so determining its legitimacy was pretty easy for us.

This tier list is illegitimate. For starters, I'm pretty sure the Miis will NOT be included in any official list, since they're so customizable they can't be constant... not to mention that I find it highly offensive that the Gunner and Swordfighter are at the absolute bottom, and the Miis' tier placement in general will be negatively bias since nearly everyone ignores them (all the more reason they'll be left out of the list).

Also, I've heard nothing from the Smash 4 Backroom about an official tier list yet, and what they say is final. Let's just be patient and wait the real one, alright? The game is still young. Herson (talk) 23:25, 6 April 2015 (EDT)Herson

'small font' is not real reason to revert the changes. "Unreleased" can cause confusion to the people thinking they're never released unless they've noticed that this tier list is for 1.1.3 (as noted in the table heading). 50.161.55.59 22:28, 17 July 2016 (EDT)
