Luminous!, formerly known as GUMBOLAYA!, is a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Greninja player from New Jersey who formerly played Pit and Dark Pit. He was formerly ranked 15th on the New Jersey Smash Ultimate Power Rankings. Luminous! began competing in Ultimate tournaments in early 2020, and placed decently at locals until the COVID-19 pandemic began. He found greater success in online tournaments, consistently making top 8 appearances at online tristate weeklies such as Fusion.exe and DNA.exe towards the end of 2020.
Luminous! performed well at tristate locals post-quarantine, leading to his breakout performance at CROSSxUP, where he finished in 9th place. He has taken sets off of players such as Jakal, Juice, Mercury, BONK!, MPg, Andromeda, Pharaoh, and Vivi.
