:This honestly sounds like a really good idea, which will have even more content to be added once Sephiroth is out (his trailer even used music from the FF7 movie). Hoping we can revive this discussion. I have an idea. We could find the pieces of media where where the non-gaming content originates and compile them into a list like the this one. Each entry in the list could be either a piece of media, a franchise, or a real event, whichever is best for the content in question. The entry could have a very brief explanation for those unfamiliar and then lists the content from said media in smash. For example:
wikipedia is an 1895 novel written by american author wikipedia. It tells the story of 18 year old american union private Henry Fleming and his fellow soldiers experiencing first hand the horrors of the american civil war while trying to overcome his own demons.
A very loose depiction of Henry Fleming appears in the Nintendo 3DS strategy game nintendowiki, who appears as a spirit in Ultimate. The Other Jared (talk) 19:02, April 25, 2021 (EDT)

Forums: Index Proposals Article listing non-game content in Smash?
Proposed.png This discussion is in regards to a proposed change on SmashWiki. The discussion must first meet with a consensus before it is implemented.

I had the idea of an article listing all content in Smash that didn't originate in a video game, for example the Karin spirit debuting in a manga, Mappy starting as a micromouse robot, the multiple Pokemon anime elements, Cloud's alts, Henry Fleming being a Stephen Crane character, e.t.c.

I'm not sure if this is notable enough for one thing, but I also can't figure out a format. What could possibly go wrong? - BubzieBobkat (talk) 10:05, July 12, 2020 (EDT)

Ever heard of the dude/lady who kept arguing that You're gonna have a bad time originated ENRIRELY from South Park? Yeah, there will probably be someone who spills that coffee all over your list, but neat idea, though. Seeing how we have lists for swords and firearms found in Smash, this could be a good addition. —Preceding unsigned comment added by JustSomeCloudMain (talkcontribs) 11:15, July 12, 2020 (EDT)

The Red Badge of Courage is an 1895 novel written by american author Stephen Crane. It tells the story of 18 year old american union private Henry Fleming and his fellow soldiers experiencing first hand the horrors of the american civil war while trying to overcome his own demons.

A very loose depiction of Henry Fleming appears in the Nintendo 3DS strategy game Code Name: S.T.E.A.M., who appears as a spirit in Ultimate. The Other Jared (talk) 19:02, April 25, 2021 (EDT)
