I saw [https://www.ssbwiki.com/index.php?title=Shadow_Moses_Island&diff=1895026&oldid=1894528 this edit] go by and get undone, and while I agree that having both symbols is a bit awkward, it got me thinking: how do we feel about utilizing both symbols by way of the tabber template? The only thing separating the caption section from the image section in the infobox is a <nowiki><br></nowiki>, so this could easily be taken advantage of to make something like [https://imgur.com/a/mXZPsmJ this] possible. To that end, consider this post a proposal of sorts for similar changes across returning stages that have had their symbols changed (like from Metroid or Pokémon), but it's the most applicable here given that the entire series symbol was changed for Metal Gear. :This is a great idea! I think the old symbols should be included on stages that appeared in the games where the old symbols were used, and this is an elegant solution. when was this stage confirmed?

i see no links, so the article has been changed until someone can come up with a reliable source. not "it was in the video." a lot of stage prototypes are in videos, so only a stage entry works. Silverdragon706 04:41, July 20, 2007 (EDT)

Proof of song-snow association

The article claims that different songs affect the intensity of the snowstorm on this stage. I have yet to see any evidence of this. Does anyone have any proof for this claim? Miles (talk) 00:40, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

I've just done a test of twenty random songs in Training Mode which generated this data:

  • Song
    • Snowfall
  • Battle in the Base
    • High
    • None
    • Low
    • Medium
  • Calling to the Night
    • None
    • None
    • Low
  • Cavern
    • Low
  • Encounter
    • Low
    • Medium
    • High
  • MGS4 ~ Theme of Love
    • Low
  • Snake Eater
    • High
    • Medium
  • Theme of Solid Snake
    • Medium
    • Medium
    • Medium
  • Yell "Dead Cell"
    • High
    • None
    • Low

There is no apparent rule that says "if this song plays then use this snowfall amount". Toomai Glittershine The Stats Guy 18:14, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

Usage of old symbols

I saw this edit go by and get undone, and while I agree that having both symbols is a bit awkward, it got me thinking: how do we feel about utilizing both symbols by way of the tabber template? The only thing separating the caption section from the image section in the infobox is a <br>, so this could easily be taken advantage of to make something like this possible. To that end, consider this post a proposal of sorts for similar changes across returning stages that have had their symbols changed (like from Metroid or Pokémon), but it's the most applicable here given that the entire series symbol was changed for Metal Gear. This is a great idea! I think the old symbols should be included on stages that appeared in the games where the old symbols were used, and this is an elegant solution. Alex the Weeb 15:16, May 17, 2024 (EDT)
