About your RFA...[edit]

Don't take failing the RFA too hard. A common mistake among some newer users is that they think they can quickly become an admin. It usually takes at least a year of dedicated improvement to the wiki, as well as proving to everyone that they are capable of settling disputes between users, before you can reasonably expect to get support for your candidacy. There's a reason we only have six admins out of the many users who contribute to the site. I felt like pointing this out because it's easy to become discouraged if you are new to a wiki and something like this happens.

Also, is the Colorado Smash Logo adapted from one of the Colorado Avalanche logos? xD John This is for my signature, which I was told needed to be edited. PK SMAAAASH!! 22:50, 16 June 2016 (EDT)

Haha, I should of done a tad bit more research before applying, but thank you for your encouragement. The Colorado Smash logo, I just kind of sketched out one day, trying to make a mountain range look like the letters "S M A S H", I then sent it to a friend and she rendered the final version. So to answer your question, no, no inspiration came from the Colorado Avalanche logos haha xD Ubiquittea (talk) 22:54, 16 June 2016 (EDT)
If I was on a Road to Admin where would I be?
Also why does your talk lead to Serpent King's? Kirby's Crazy Appetite ~ KirbyHeadYellowSSB.png 22:57, 16 June 2016 (EDT)
because I liked his signature so I copied the text shadows, and messed up. It's fixed now. >.>
@ Ubiquittea: I thought the "C" looked like the one here.
That's on our state flag, that "C". :3 Ubiquittea (talk) 23:32, 16 June 2016 (EDT)
@ Kirby's Crazy Appetite: Are you asking me that? Well, to provide perspective, although I have no interest in becoming an admin, look at the contributions I've made. Even if I wanted to become an admin, my candidacy would not be supported by the other admins because I have very little experience in settling user disputes, because I like to stay out of those. ALRIGHTY, just by looking at that i'm not close at all. I really only have 517/518 edits. Kirby's Crazy Appetite ~ KirbyHeadYellowSSB.png 23:18, 16 June 2016 (EDT)

So here's my take on the whole "road to admin" thing. First of all, go through this and think about how you would answer each of these questions. Be totally honest with yourself. Second, consider completely what the job entails. A lot of people are under the assumption that adminship entails blocking the vandals and deleting the BS, but in reality, it is much more than that. You have to be fully ready to jump into and settle disputes, have to be constantly willing to help users when they need it, and have to be the ones to police the site as effectively as possible. On that note, yes we do block vandals and delete BS, but it is rarely so black-and-white. The userbase for this wiki is not separated into 2 categories (good, solid contributors and clear cut vandals), and it's the ones that lie somewhere in the middle that are the most difficult to sort out. Same goes for deletions. All I am trying to say here is that a lot of thought must be put into submitting an RfA. You must question if you are ready and willing to take the job at all, and if the answer is even slightly "no", it's best not to submit the RfA at all. I won't submit it, I think i am best just being a user. Kirby's Crazy Appetite ~ KirbyHeadYellowSSB.png 23:30, 16 June 2016 (EDT)
If you could take your private discussions elsewhere besides on my profile it would be appreciated ^.^ Ubiquittea (talk) 23:32, 16 June 2016 (EDT)
