Page addition[edit]

So, I realized since there is a page for Smash 2 that exists, it's actually a user page, so I made this new page for it that way we can actually edit it, because when I tried on the original page, that didn't work out too well, so I decided to make this so that I don't make that mistake again.SSBFan999 (talk) 01:45, January 13, 2021 (EST)

That doesn't mean you should publish it to the mainspace. Mods on SmashWiki are a rather touchy topic, and the only one we cover to its fullest extent is Project M/+ due to its competitive scene. Smaller mods like this goes to the mod page. CookiesCnC Signature.pngCreme 20:52, January 13, 2021 (EST)
Sorry about getting it screwed up, I don't really think ahead sometimes. It's just that since the mod was back up and running, I had the thought process of making this page for Smash 2. You can kinda blame my love for the mod for that. SSBFan999 (talk) 00:22, January 14, 2021 (EST)

So we are in agreeance to remove this page and keep in it in the smash mods page already? User talk:CutterX3 23:34, January 27, 2021 (ICT)

I guess so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (Mcegg) | Mar 17, 2021 (10:18 EST)

First there was no consensus to make this its own individual page. Second, unlike Project M and +, this does not have much tournament notability or have a massive following. For my signature. Omegα Toαd, the Toαd Wαrrior. (BUP) 22:16, February 18, 2021 (EST)

Agreed. There isn't much notoriety for this page to exist, let alone a mod that can easily fit under Gameplay modification. -- PanchamBro (talkcontributions) 22:42, February 18, 2021 (EST)
This should be deleted. Aidan, the Lovely Rurouni 23:04, February 18, 2021 (EST)

Agreed. Reasons already stated. Silva (talk) 21:50, February 24, 2021 (EST)
I wish the moderator's stance on mod pages was different. Would be awesome to have detailed pages for great mods.. And pages for characters and stages of these mods.. I guess someone would need to start a smash-mods-wiki for that. Patzui (talk) 13:54, February 26, 2021 (EST)
FYI admins can't override community consensus just because they are admins. Superbound (talk) 15:39, February 26, 2021 (EST)
I'm just going to say that while having detailed pages for mods would be great, it should really be decided by the editors for the page to be created, and not scrapped together instantly. If there is no consensus, then this page has no reason to exist, because nobody has really approved that this mod is notable for its own page. And there are cases where page creation are made instantly, but those are cases where a major announcement is made, and those pages end up having huge activity for them to be updated as soon as possible. -- PanchamBro (talkcontributions) 17:45, February 26, 2021 (EST)
Our focus is on official games, the main reason we have pages for Project M and + is because of their massive community presence which shouldn't be ignored. This mod, to my knowledge, does not have much notability or tournament presence, mods like this go in gameplay modification. For my signature. Omegα Toαd, the Toαd Wαrrior. It's one of our policies to not cover fanmade content, with a specific exception for Project M/+ because of its community presence. Aidan, the Lovely Rurouni 18:39, February 26, 2021 (EST)
