Spitball Sparky (スピットボールスパーキー) is Mr. Game & Watch's up aerial. It involves him shooting a puff of air upwards, knocking any opponents caught in the air stream straight upwards while dealing damage.

Overview[edit]

Instructional quotes[edit]

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighter tips Mr. Game & Watch (SSBU) Release a puff of air right above you to push opponents. You can even try to KO an opponent with this if you can hit them from a high position onstage.

Origin[edit]

Spitball_Sparky.png

Spitball Sparky is one of two games relased in the Super Color line of Game & Watch games - in it, the player is placed beneath a set of walls and has to blow at a ball to destroy blocks, not unlike Arkanoid or Breakout. Unlike those games, the player has to press the button to blow the ball - and can do so from a short distance - instead of instantly reflecting it on contact, and the ball goes in a linear upwards trajectory, but will ricochet in a random direction once it hits an object. There are 3 layers of blocks, green being the lowest; blue being the middle; and red being the highest, with red blocks requiring two hits to destroy. Indestructible flat ceilings will fly on the edges of those layers and interfere with the ball's upwards trajectory. Spitball Sparky was featured as an unlockable game in Game & Watch Gallery 3, though it did not recieve a modern incarnation.
