Split

Historically, last chance qualifiers have been included on the same page as the tournament they were qualifying for. However, I believe the 2GG Championship should be an exception, due to the following reasons:

• It's a last chance qualifier for a major circuit. It's why the Smash World Tour 2021 Last Chance Qualifier has its own page, and why the Smash World Tour 2022 Last Chance Qualifier and the Panda Cup Last Chance Qualifier had their own pages before their respective cancellations.
• The event itself is separate on the PGR v4, where it ranked as a C-tier as opposed to being part of the 2GG Championship's rank.

If passed, the LCQ will be split off into Tournament:2GGC: Last Chance Qualifier, which is what PGR v4 calls the event. CookiesCreme 16:13, July 29, 2024 (EDT)

I agree with this because:

1. It just makes sense to split it if the articles for other major circuits' last chance qualifiers are separate from the articles for the tournaments they were qualifiers for.
2. If it's a separate event on a tournament tier system, split it. It deserves its own article.

I'm just trying to get this discussion passed, because this last chance qualifier isn't just your average LCQ, it's an LCQ for a major circuit. I know I'm kinda late to the party here, but still. Mario Maniac 16:01, June 1, 2026 (UTC)
