Smash Rivalries was a Super Smash Bros. Melee invitational tournament held on April 8th-9th, 2017 and featured a $15,000 prize pot ($5000 per event) provided by Yahoo Esports. The event was inspired by the East Coast/West Coast rivalries and specifically the crew battles which took place at landmark tournaments such as MELEE-FC3, GENESIS, GENESIS 2, and MLG Anaheim 2014.
