Tink was a Fox/Marth player from Northwest Indiana (although his proximity to Chicago causes many people to consider him as being from Chicago). He was ranked number 12 in the nation on the final Smash Panel Power Rankings near the end of 2006. He was also an honorable mention on the RetroSSBMRank.
Tink made his start in Smash on the local level at a series of tournaments called "The Pen2 Monthlies" where he won his first tournament by defeating CunningKitsune with Jigglypuff. He then went on to participate in the "Melee Coliseum" series, and continued competing.
Tink was one of the elite 5 players in the Midwest, also including Drephen, Dope, Vidjogamer, and Darkrain, that dominated the Midwest from mid-2005 to around 2007. The players used to be so close in standing that rarely any of them won consecutive tournaments, often knocking each other out.
Tink managed to win the fourth Midwest Circuit 2006 event, Flame of Bowser 5, on December 2nd, 2006, and afterward was promoted to the number 2 position from number 5 in the Midwest Power Rankings.Tink passed away in August, 2024 at the age of 36.
