Reverse wall jumps[edit]

We need to explain these on the article. Simple as that. — {EspyoT} 09:14, 17 June 2013 (EDT)

Melee technical data[edit]

I cannot find a Magus420 post that could be used as the basis for a more detailed explanation. What I have found out so far by TAS testing is not all that conclusive: 1. It is not necessary to touch the wall 2. It is necessary to move towards the wall with a Δx above a certain threshold ΛND be close enough to the wall (below a certain threshold). Why the walljump can be stored in certain cases (Doraki walljump) is still completely unknown. If anyone has knowledge on this, please tell me or include it in the article directly! Wall Jump Heights[edit]

Is there unique wall jump heights for each character (that can wall jump) or there a universal thing? I know that the characters air speed and stuff like that effect it, but a calulation or an answer would be great The Holy Wooomy.JPG The Holy Wooomy with 69 Nuggets of Toasted Chaos Smug Megumin.jpg 18:09, April 2, 2020 (EDT)

About the “Some characters unable to wall jump in Smash, but can do in their own games” category[edit]

Mr Game and Watch can wall cling in Manhole as you can see in the game, a character is clinged with a wall which sorta counts as a wall cling. 112.210.224.217 03:41, July 3, 2023 (EDT)

Tech jump heights belong on the teching page[edit]

So, a couple of weeks ago, an IP tagged the page as being incomplete, due to it not including tech wall jump heights. I had deliberately only put in the regular wall jump heights, as I believed this is what the vast majority of people would be looking for when coming to this article (and the way most of the article is structured supports this as well). I mentioned starting a discussion here on the IP's talk page, but never heard a response back, so I've decided to create the discussion regardless. Simply put, including every single character's tech wall jump height would make comparing the heights of wall jumpers more difficult, so I believe the full list of tech wall jump heights would better fit on the teching article itself, if it is decided that we would even list them at all (as there are many statistics in the game that are generally considered too minor to list on the wiki). Thoughts? Alex the Weeb 21:29, October 15, 2026 (UTC)

Yeah, tech jump heights do belong on Tech and not here. MarioManiacSigImage1.png Mario Maniac MarioManiacSigImage2.png 22:38, October 15, 2026 (UTC)

If "wall tech" were a separate page, then maybe. But since it isn't (and shouldn't be), putting the stats on the tech page would take up a lot of space for something that's comparatively of low importance for the rest of the page. The full list of wall jump stats should be here, whether a character can wall jump without a wall tech or not. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Awesome 12:04, October 16, 2026 (UTC)
