Deletion[edit]

Strong Delete: Firstly, emulators are pretty much illegal. Sure, there's loopholes to exploit, but it's mostly not allowed. Secondly, what does this emulator have to do with the series? I don't think this warrants an article. Other opinions? SD706/FnW - (UTC ) 08:17, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

Emulators aren't quite legal, but they aren't quite illegal. I mean, if someone uses an emulator (specially without owning the console/game in question), then they could be playing with the law. But having a page to talk about Dolphin doesn't make the Wiki illegal. And also, it does have to do with Melee. A little less with Brawl. Without Dolphin, some of the TAS that the community has would be impossible (feel free to correct me). It isn't quite unnecessary to delete it. Now, what IS necessary, is to turn this page into an information wad on how Dolphin relates to Melee/Brawl. This is Smash Wiki, thus, it should talk about the Smash series. Dolphin is related with [see above]. As the page is now, it doesn't show much information that couldn't be obtained somewhere else. So... Delete? No. Rewrite? Yes. {EspyoT} 13:50, November 15, 2009 (UTC)
Weak KeepThis is similar to any of the posts regarding Project 64k, the N64 emulator. There isn't a specific link for ROM's or the emulator itself so the page itself is legal. If a person uses this page and tries to get the emulator or ROM, then they are doing a semi-illegal activity. Its mostly related to melee over brawl as the melee rom itself has been made to be better and the majority of people who play brawl wifi only play it on the Wii itself. Also, the brawl ROM is much harder run than the melee emulator. The main reason why I say its a weak keep is due to that the emulator isn't widespread unlike the n64 emulator and barely anyone can play it since it is such a large program. --KoRoBeNiKi (talk) 17:07, December 8, 2009 (UTC)

Keep Who cares if they are illegal. They exist, so we report on them. Cocaine is illegal and wikipedia still has a page on it. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 02:15, March 1, 2010 (UTC)

Keep Illegality shouldn't matter if it's noteworthy. Cheezperson {talk}stuff 01:09, March 19, 2010 (UTC)

As long as it relates in some way to Melee, I believe it should be kept. BNK [E|T|C] 05:04, March 19, 2010 (UTC)

Keep We are not promoting something illegal, we are merely stating that it exists and what it is used for.highway pumpy sfs 00:06, April 5, 2010 (UTC)
