Flikkflakk has attended to several local tournaments in Norway, and a lot of Smashfests in addition of one major tournament in Sweden - The Renaissance of Smash 3. At RoS3 he made a stunning performance by almost beating Helios out of the pools, where the results were 2-1 in a very close set. This could have been a huge upset at the tournament, but Helios is overall a better player and deserved to advance from the pools.
For a long time Flikkflakk's mindset was to focus training on becoming as fast as possible, always striving to improve his technical skill. He quickly became the most technical player in Norway. Consequently, as with many other well known technical players, his skill in other aspects of the game suffered, and as such he would sometimes lose to players with superior mindgames, game sense, or strategy.
In more recent times Flikkflakk has focused a lot of time on improving his mindset going in to matches, as well as playing smarter rather than faster. His vastly impressive tech skill is still there, but in improving other aspects of the game, he became a more complete player.
This was shown at Heir II the Throne where he placed as the top Norwegian, beating top 10 EU rank player Reaper, and narrowly losing to the top 20 EU ranked player Baxon.
