Hello! I've been looking into the competitive scene since Brawl, but I wanted to wait until after Smash 4 came out to get into it. Look on Facebook to see if there's a Smash group in your area, many competitive scenes nowadays use Facebook groups and events to communicate with smashers in their region and to publicise tournies. Also look on Smashboards to see if there's a regional thread where or near where you live. Florida has one of the largest and strongest Smash scenes, so you should find something.
