Tagging things

If a page is tagged for speedy deletion, you don't need to tag the talk page. Admins usually remember to delete the associated talk page afterwards. If they forget to do so, then you should tag the talk page, but it saves time by just tagging the pages themselves. Mr. Anontalk 14:28, 18 August 2012 (EDT)

It's not even a case of remembering, when you're deleting a page, there's a tickable box on the page (this is ticked by default on the wikis I administrate) that lets you delete the talk page at the same time. That's why the delete summaries are always the same. Toast
