Evolution 2017, or simply EVO 2017, is the upcoming 16th edition of the Evolution Championship Series, a fighting game tournament held annually in Las Vegas, Nevada. EVO 2017 is scheduled to take place on July 14th to 16th, 2016, at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. It was announced on January 24th, by EVO's tournament director Joey "Mr. Wizard" Cuellar, that both Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U would be featured as official games on the EVO 2016 game lineup. The ninth game will be chosen via a donation drive with proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.[1][2]
