The Evolution Championship Series 2009, or simply EVO 2009, was a fighting game tournament held in Las Vegas, Nevada, from July 17th-19th, 2009, at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino. It was the 8th edition of the EVO tournament series and the last to feature a Smash title until EVO 2013, 4 years later.
