Sorry? You need to make yourself more clear. ☆The Solar Dragon (Merry Christmas)☆ 17:16, January 1, 2010 (UTC)

Alternate names

The 2 new ones have never been included before, so should they remain there? MegaTron1XD:p 21:00, 10 March 2011 (EST)

I would still advocate doing an "in other languages" box somewhere or else finding somewhere for the international names in the infobox. Miles (talk) 21:07, 10 March 2011 (EST)
  1. Why should we have Chinese names on this page if they're not on any other page? Either whoever adds it here should do it everywhere or not do it at all.
  2. How big is our Chinese viwership? Considering what I know, not big enough to be worth including anything of the sort. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Different 23:01, 10 March 2011 (EST)
To whoever added the Chinese name, can you please not re-add it until this discussion has been finished? We have something called the 1 revert rule. Thanks. Mr. Anon (talk)
The reason why I originally removed it was because really the only foreign name we need is the Japanese one, and even that is only present for two reasons:
  1. The series is Japanese, and thus the Japanese name is the "original" name.
  2. In Melee, there exists the option of changing the language to Japanese, thus technically making the Japanese name appear in the English game. Mr. Anon (talk) 23:16, 10 March 2011 (EST)
Japanese names was never really arguable, they're obviously important. European names (French/Spanish/Greman/etc) are debatably useful; Europe is a relatively big market and Pokémon names in particular can be vastly different - also note that by your second point various non-English languages appear in the PAL versions.
