Shu (シュウ or しゅう) is a Japanese professional smasher who mains Sheik in Melee, Snake in Brawl, and Bayonetta and Sheik in SSB4. In Melee, he was known for his participation in the Zero Challenge (OC2) tournament where he got 5th in singles and 9th in teams with Hiko, a Japanese Falco player, while in Brawl, he is considered to be one of the best players in Japan, having taken sets off of top professionals such as Kakera, Yui, and RAIN, and in SSB4, he is considered to be the best Bowser player in Japan. He is currently ranked 7th on the eSports Runner Japanese Smash 4 Power Rankings and 44th on the JAPAN Power Rankings. He was formerly ranked 11th on the Umebura Smash 4 Power Rankings. He was a Sheik main prior to update 1.1.5 in SSB4, at that point became a Bayonetta main until the latter's nerfs and then switched back to the former in 1.1.6. In October 2016, he picked up Sonic with good results, getting Top 8 at Toryumon 1.
