Luminous!, formerly known as GUMBOLAYA!, is an SSBU Pit and Dark Pit player from New Jersey, and is considered to be one of if not the best Pit players in the world. He is currently ranked 15th on the New Jersey Smash Ultimate Power Rankings. Luminous! began competing in Smash Ultimate tournaments in early 2020, achieving 7th and 9th place finishes at locals, but the COVID-19 pandemic struck soon after. Despite this, he found success in online tournaments, consistently making top 8 at online tristate weeklies such as Fusion.exe and DNA.exe towards the end of 2020.
Luminous! achieved greater success with the return of offline tournaments, with his breakout performance being a 9th place finish out of 192 at the regional tournament CROSSxUP. He has taken sets off of players such as Juice, Mercury, BONK!, MPg, Andromeda, Pharaoh, Vivi, and Dominator.
