He was previously ranked 7th on the [[Southern Ontario Power Rankings]] and was formerly ranked 9th in the GTA region in the 2018 spring season and is depicted as the Dragonball Z character Buu because he absorbs his opponents' tendencies and adapts like liquid. As many times as he denies it, his skill vastly improved from the training of {{Sm|Ryan Ford}} from the summer of 2016 and has now become a disciple of Ryan Ford. His resume includes tying with {{Sm|Armada}} at [[EGLX]] (Enthusiast Gaming Live Expo 2016) for 17th place, and wins over strong Canadian players such as {{Sm|Nightmare}}, {{Sm|Sauc3}}, {{Sm|KirbyKaze}}'s Bowser, and {{Sm|Monib}}. This was a mistake by the production crew as they failed to tell the difference between the two due to a visual reason.

On May 31st 2020, where netplay tournaments were popular due to the covid-19 outbreak, Liquid entered the tournament Smash for Minneapolis Relief (https://smash.gg/tournament/smash-for-minneapolis-relief/events) where he would enter his secondary in the making, Roy. There is strong speculation that the influence of Zain's recent performance taking a major netplay tournament with Roy had an impact on this decision, as well as both players' competencies in dashing back and grabbing opponents near the corner. Liquid entered the tournament under a different alias, known as "imyourroy", which would cause discussion in the twitch chat on who this hero was. imyourroy would lose to local smash celebrity, Quiggles in round 2 but then go on a loser's run of a lifetime. In his run, he managed to defeat wally, Ligma, Erik, and come to a close and nail-biting game 5 with former PR player, Rabbit, one of Ontario's strongest Sheik mains. Rabbit, was initially cautious and alert about who this fire wielding vagrant was. Upon discovering it was Liquid, Rabbit felt at ease, as he was able to visualize the player he was playing, all the times Rabbit had friendly banter with Liquid, remembering previous habits, and even hearing the iconic and contagious laughter of Liquid. It demonstrated for Rabbit, that the power of friendship prevailed, even in the darkest of times. imyourroy ended at a respectable 5th place at this tournament, not winning the tournament, but winning the hearts of the viewers.
 
In 2022, twitter user ETossed claimed that Liquid was the player that used Ness the second most out of every Canadian smasher with this tweet (https://twitter.com/ETossed/status/1485755498779623425). This solidified another accomplishment for Liquid as the second best Ness player to ever come out of the Canadian scene. It is likely that during Liquid's quiet 2021 year, he was spending his time practicing for his two tournament Ness games and then proceeded to dashdance in the corner once more, biding his time for his true return to the Melee scene with his Marth.
