Pokémon Trainer is a usable character confirmed to appear in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The Pokémon Trainer first appeared as the protagonist in the Game Boy games Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue. Pokémon Trainer's default name in his games is Red.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Pokémon Trainer will not fight directly. Instead, the player will alternate between three different Pokémon; Charizard, Ivysaur, and Squirtle. These three Pokémon are (evolutions of) the three starter Pokémon in Pokémon Red and Blue. Final Smash
The Pokémon Trainer's Final Smash is called Triple finish. Any of his Pokémon can get the smash ball. The Trainer Calls out all three Pokémon, and they unleash their ultimate attacks at the same time. Squirtle uses Hydro Pump, Ivysaur uses Solarbeam, and Charizard uses Fire Blast. Apparently, the closer the opponent is to the Pokémon, the more damage their attacks cause. A Pokémon style text window also appears at the bottom of the screen saying phrases like "IT'S SUPER EFFECTIVE!"
